Clash of Clans is the most perfect kingdom building game. You guys know, of course. But like most things perfect, you will eventually get bored. Oops. But don’t worry, we’ve got the (also) perfect solution: Playing a game similar to Clash of Clans for a while. Distance does make the heart grow fonder.

May we suggest these 9 games?

1. Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire

Final Fantasy XV finally came out a few months ago for PS4 and Xbox One, after years in the making (11 to be precise!). Along with it came a CGI film, a freely available anime series, and this amazing companion Android game! This is basically a Final Fantasy XV themed Clash of Clans game, where you build your base and your army, playing the role of a regional administrator for Prince Noctis, the FFXV main character. You can use all sorts of soldiers you see in the film and game, including Chocobo riding cavalry! In the meantime, you also have to defend the new re-established empire from the attacks of monsters. If you love Clash of Clans you'll love this!

2. Age of Empires: Castle Siege

Age of Empires has stood the test of time over the last 20 years, starting as a PC Game back in '97. Android versions of AOE have been released over the years. Castle Siege is still kinda new in the series, but nonetheless, pretty cool. You can choose your civilization, build your keep and then fight for it. Your defenses can be upgraded and you will be able to train troops to attack other civilizations. Age of Empires also has heroes that you can recruit. The mechanics are similar to the ones of Clash of Clans, but you will have more control over troops. Give it a try.

3. Boom Beach

Life’s a beach, then we hope you don't die. Get your sunscreen on, the goal in Boom Beach is to build a base along a beach. Enemies will storm the beach and try to take down your defenses. This game - unlike Clash of Clans- has a quite long campaign mode. It also features co-op missions. Let’s go!

4. Call of Duty: Heroes

This is a Clash of Clans clone, but with a Call of Duty theme. You start out with an outpost that you’ll have to upgrade and defend. Get control of many heroes from the other Call of Duty games and level them up to unlock more skills. There will be alliances where you can donate troops and chat. Oh and you can even call in drone strikes to give yourself advantage. Fo real.

5. Castle Clash: Brave Squads

One of the most popular games like Clash of Clans, with more than 50 millions installs. That has to mean something, right? Build a village, defend it, and fight opponents. You can also level up your heroes and battle them against the other heroes. Play co-op with Team Dungeons. A well-rounded game, if you ask us.

6. Jungle Heat: War of Clans

Welcome to the jungle, take a look around. This one is another Clash of Clan clone, but it focus more on the heroes. There are many of them, and each one has its owns abilities. Otherwise, it’s much the same. Jungle Heat also includes tournaments, they help to keep you engaged.

7. Lords Mobile

More like Beach Boom than Clash of Clans, Lords Mobile is a nice alternative. Get heroes, train an army, kill bad guys. You can also form guilds to get help from other players. This one introduces a few RPG elements and lets you kill enemies on the world map to get additional treasures. Praise the Lords.

8. Siegefall

Siegefall combines the idea of a kingdom building game with card collecting mechanics. Yeah! You train troops, level up heroes and build your base just like the other games. But your spells come in the form of cards. Plus you can heal your troops and collect dragons. The graphics are pretty badass.

9. Stick War: Legacy

Now for something a little bit different: Stick War. This is a game where you build an army and attack other armies in order to bring order to everyone. You can control whole armies or just individual troops. It has plenty of action and you’ll need some strategy in order to be successful. The stick figures are goofy and really fun.

###Do your stretches! We have a lot of building to do :)
