Snapchat's CEO Evan Spiegel has recently announced on the Snap blog that the social media platform will be making a few changes, starting with a brand new design that will allow you to keep your friends and professional content separated.

One of the reasons for this change, says the Snap team, is because of the "strange side-effects (like fake news)" and the fact that other sources "made us feel like we have to perform for our friends rather than just express ourselves."

So how will the new design work?? It's quite simple actually.

Snapchat will continue to open up to the camera, but this time you'll be able to find Chats and Stories from your contacts - like your friends, and the people you usually snap too - on the left side of the camera.

On the right side of the camera, you'll see content from publishers, creators and from the community. This section is, of course, completely personalized to your likings and it will give you the advantage of discovering and exploring new and exciting content that you love.

Another recent update is the dynamic Friends Page which will display your friends "based on the way you communicate with them." According to the Sanpchat team "you can think of it as a more sophisticated Best Friends algorithm that makes it easier to find the friends you want to talk to, when you want to talk to them."

Although we have been warned that it may take a while for the algorithm to work its magic, it is definitely something that will make our lives much easier!

The reason for the recent updates is so that Sanpchat becomes more personal and familiar to its users.

So, what do you think about these changes?
