Meet Katerina, our HR manager at Aptoide and all around power woman, who joined Aptoide in 2015 and hasn't looked back ever since. Read our very first Aptoide Team meet & greet interview with Katerina below as she tells us about her role at Aptoide and what it is like to work in such a fast-paced company, and shares her tips & tricks for every job seekers out there.

Long story short: who are you and what do you do?

Hi! My name is Katerina and I help Aptoide find best talents and stay a cool place to work. I joined the company when it had only 20 people and assisted with the expansion to almost 70 people now. I do a bit of everything, but because of the fast growth of the company, I am currently more focused on the recruitment, and getting to know each and every single person that comes through that door. It's challenging yet fun, and my daily tasks vary from looking at CVs and reading cover letters to organizing activities that strengthen our brand and team building.

What do you appreciate the most about your job?

I love that I am able to have a positive impact and see the company grow. Also, my job allows me to meet a lot of new and inspiring people. I'm so lucky to work with likeminded, passionate, hardworking, fun people!

What's your favorite thing about Aptoide?

I find it great that Aptoide maintains a startup culture throughout growth. I like the “generalist” HR reality in startups, when I have a chance to start certain projects from scratch and have a general overview of various areas.

What is the best advice you could give to job seekers out there?

Do not copy-paste cover letters, please. Also take your time to study more about the company and the industry. It could be a good idea to come to an interview with the updated information on the how the company operates and also with a general idea of the industry. Or you can think in advance what improvements you can suggest for the company within your area of expertise.
