If you have cats, you surely know how frustrating it can be to purchase cat toys. Every single time, they will make sure to ignore the things you bring home. The most effective toy yet is still a piece of string. They'll go crazy - but of course, you have to do all the work of playing with them. What if you could simply give them something that would keep them entertained while you go do something else.

As always, there must be an app for that, right? We've been testing all the Cats for Apps that we could find, and here are the some of the best ones:

This is one of the simplest games for cats. It works. But it makes my cats confused, for two reasons: Way too many Mice to catch. And second, because they're too fast.

This is also very simple, it's simply a game where you see the Ant running around, and your cat can try and catch the ant, by putting his paw on top of it. It's really funny to see my cats trying to drag the ant towards to them. But after a few tries, they tend to get bored, though.

This app offers you a choice between two free games that you have to install separately: The first one is Mouse Chase, which is very simple but is sure to send your cat to crazy land (for a bit at least). The second one is a Cat Piano, which is sure to send YOU to crazy land (for a bit at least).

This one is super simple. It's simply a laser pointer simulator, where you can see a red ball moving around the screen. It's effective, but it gets your cat bored really fast.

Like the one above, but this one has the added feature of taking Cat selfies, which may be interesting to catch your cat(s) in funny poses. But like the previous one, this also bores your cat fast.

This is definitely my favorite. I've been using it for a while at home. You get to choose from six options: Laser Pointer, Ladybug, Fly, Butterfly, Cockroach and... guess what... Finger. The finger works SUPER well with my cats. Additionally, the app itself is beautifully designed.

This is a sequel to the previous app, which I only got to try now. It's not radically different. You have six new choices: You have a revamped laser pointer (which is now like a little fire thingy), a Spider, a Feather, a Mouse, a Dandelion and some pipes leaking Water Bubble. The Dandelion is especially effective in entertaining my cats.

This is clearly the most well-produced app for Cats. It has some nice watery sound effects as it shows fishes merging and diving. Each level increases the number of fish on the screen, which clearly makes your cat even crazier!

It's the same basic system of the previous app, but with Birds instead of Fish. Very well produced, with very high-quality images inside the app - which I'm sure your cat will appreciate being the art hipster your cat is.

In line with the previous two Friskies games, this one is also very interesting. It has a wide variety of bugs roaming around the screen, and when you put your hand (paw?) in one of the bugs it stops its. For us humans, it isn't particularly interesting because it doesn't have art as beautiful as the other two games.

This isn't so much a game for cats, but more a super useful tool for you as a Pet Owner (yes it also works for Dogs). It's a simple app that plays a number of sound effects: The shaking sound of your pet food bag, a Kitten, a Triangle and a Gong. I swear it works wonders when you can't find your cat. Try it!

It's definitely not for cats - but it's really cool for Cat lovers, and it's now available on Aptoide!
