Attention, all Pokémon trainers! Get your Pokéballs up, the 4th Gen has arrived at Pokémon GO! And not a minute too soon, as this week saw not only the launch of the first Detective Pikachu feature trailer (Pika Pika, Ryan Reynolds!) but also the launch of Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee for the Nintendo Switch.

But why should you be interested in all that? Because you can now transfer your masterfully trained Pokémon to both Switch games, and train them even more in cool new minigames! But enough about that - it’s time to delve into Sinnoh, the region where the 4th Gen is located.

The first thing you’ve got to be prepared is for the new evolution of established Pokémon. Remember your Rhydon? You’ll be able to take it a step further and evolve it into Rhyperior! Eevee gains two new evolutions as well - Leafeon, a Grass-type sweeper, and Glaceon, an Ice-type nightmare for Dragon-type Pokémon.

But that’s not all! There are also new baby forms to discover: from Munchlax, Snorlax’s cute pre-evolution, to Happiny and Mime Jr., you’ll have to work even more to hatch those eggs and raise your collection.

Don’t worry. There’s also some new Pokémon that you can catch. Those that played through Diamond, Pearl and Platinum will surely remember such powerhouses like Lucario, the Fighting/Steel sweeper, or Garchomp, a Dragon/Ground type that still is a staple in competitive battling. Infernape, Torterra and Empoleon, the three starters from Sinnoh, are also available.

And last, but not least, the most memefied Pokémon since Magikarp… Bidoof. So, what are you waiting for? You won't reach Pokémon Master status only by reading - go get the Pokémon GO app right now and prepare to catch and raise more awesome Pokémon because, as you know: Gotta Catch’em All!
